Brian went on a VERY LONG motorcycle ride with some of his friends on Wednesday. They left Jerome at about 10:30 and after making an unexpected stop in Shoshone, due to Brian having a little motorcycle problem
(his speedometer cable fell off!! And it was broken for the rest of the ride!!) They headed to Hailey and had lunch at a place called "The Wicked Spud" (sounds like a really rough Idaho motorcycle bar-right? Nope just good food) , they then went over
Gelena summit into Stanley, through
Lohmen, into Idaho City, to Boise, where they had dinner and then headed home! 472 miles!!! And yep, their bums felt like it, everyone walked a little funny the next day!! Brian had a great time, he said he was kinda worried about not being able to see how fast he was going because some of the guys he was riding with (Gary) like going fast--VERY fast!! It reminded me of the movie Wild Hogs, a bunch of old guys on a motorcycle adventure. They had quite a diverse group: Brian, Gary (a
pharmacist), Mark (owns an excavation company), Ron (Manager of the maintenance department at the hospital), Chad (repairs x-ray equipment). It would have rounded out the group even better if their friend Dave (the mortician) was able to go, but someone died
I hate when that happens so, he had to miss out! They stopped in Boise for dinner then headed home! They pulled in at about 9:30 at night!! It was a LONG ride. But I have a feeling they will do it again!! crazy boys!!
